Alessandro Ludovico, Post-Digital Print 16.04.2019 | Fotomuseum Winterthur

SITUATION #170

In this evening lecture, Alessandro Ludovico will talk about the past, present and future of publishing at the crossroads of print and digital networked technologies and cultures. Ludovico, media critic, artist and editor-in-chief of Neural magazine since 1993, will shed light on the alternative histories of publishing that run parallel to the recurring fears of the death of paper, and talk about how the blurring divisions between digital and print supports have offered important and exciting mutations that move beyond the analog-digital divide. Finally the talk will analyse current trends in publishing strategies and reading behaviours that have been shaped by online platforms, reflecting on the implications for content producers and viewers, as well as for the role of culture dissemination in post-digital times.

The event took place on 16 April 2019 at 18:30 in the exhibition SITUATIONS/Photo Text Data at Fotomuseum (Grüzenstrasse 45, 8400 Winterthur).
