Eva Collé stormed the barriers of social norms at the age of 14 and has been blogging candidly about her life ever since under 1000deadcops.tumblr.com. In her online photos and commentaries, the 25-year-old Italian shares her experiences and opinions as a vagabond, cosmopolitan, sex worker, gender activist, model, drug addict – in short, as a personality unfettered by stereotypical character traits, going with the flow of spontaneity, and living life in the fast lane of the digital era. An entire generation of like-minded followers animatedly exchange views on her page. Eva is the main character in the documentary film Searching Eva, which Pia Hellenthal and Giorgia Malatrasi have been working on for more than three years. The video installation anonymous asks is a spin-off, specially made for Fotomuseum Winterthur, of their film scheduled for release at the end of 2018. The largely unassuming scenes may give little indication of Eva's lifestyle, but the questions posed by her followers betray some intimate and scurrilous details.
