Product description

Who am I? Who would I like to be? Taking Poulomi Basu’s Chimeras collages as an inspiration, we invite you in this workshop to discover afresh your own archive of images – the photos on your mobile phone, for example – and to organise it creatively.

Following a brief introduction to the exhibition Poulomi Basu – Phantasmagoria and a view of the work Chimeras, the practical part of the workshop will be devoted to designing your own personal collage. Whether it’s an empowering self-portrait, a playful self-analysis or a colourful, personal look back at the year, you will create an ornate and powerful collage using glitter beads, feathers and your own photos.

This event forms part of the exhibition Poulomi Basu – Phantasmagoria. Indian artist Poulomi Basu generates powerful imagery that occupies a world between reality and fiction. The exhibition combines photographs, film, virtual reality and an installation. The works centre on women from the Global South, indicating paths of self-empowerment and giving visibility to themes of exclusion and gender-based violence.

Der Workshop takes place in German

Admission: CHF 30.– (incl. material and exhibition admission)

Note: This workshop requires a minimum of five registered participants and is limited to a maximum of 15 people.
