The US artist Paul Mpagi Sepuya leads visitors through the exhibition, offering personal insights into his artistic practice. Sepuya (b. 1982) blends sensual intimacy with visual precision in his portraits and studio photographs. Through intimate encounters with friends, he creates layered compositions that insist on a queer and Black subject position in photography.
 
In the subsequent Q&A with Doris Gassert, Curator at Fotomuseum Winterthur, Sepuya speaks about central themes of his artistic practice as well as his concrete working methods in the studio.

The event takes place in the context of the exhibition Paul Mpagi Sepuya – Focus. Desire. Fotomuseum Winterthur presents the first major solo exhibition of the artist in Switzerland.

The conversation will be held in English.

Return policy

The product return period is 30 days from the date the product was received. Excluded from this are memberships, vouchers and e-tickets, which cannot be returned.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns in the following cases:
– For damaged items, unless they have already been received damaged.
– If accessories are missing.
– If the return period has passed.

Provided the product can be returned, the full price will be refunded.

Postage costs for returning items are generally paid by the sender. After individual examination, the return costs may be borne by the Fotomuseum Winterthur.
