Product description

In Aphasia, the artist Adji Dieye (b. 1991) takes the loss of language as a conceptual starting point. In her visual and linguistic encounter with the city of Dakar, Senegal, Dieye explores the themes of identity, nation-building and the role of the archive from an Afro-diasporic perspective.

With the biennial format Photographic Encounters, Fotomuseum Winterthur and Christoph Merian Verlag accompany a photographer or artist in the realisation of an exhibition and a publication.
