Fully Booked: Workshop: Cyanotype – The Classic Blueprint Process

This workshop is fully booked.

In this workshop, participants immerse themselves in the historic fine printing process cyanotype, which still inspires today. John Herschel developed this unique technique in 1842 in an attempt to find a method to produce durable photographic images. Participants are introduced to the process and later expose and develop their own motif. With the help of tips and tricks they will be able to alienate or colour the images.

The workshop requires a digital negative – either a scanned negative or a digitally inverted photograph. Participants will be contacted in advance by email and asked to send in such a digital negative or a normal digital image, which will then be processed by the workshop leader. Black and white images with clear contrast gradations are best suited, fine grey gradients are only roughly reproduced.
