A manic photographer, Garry Winogrand travelled day in and day out, always on the search for the perfect snapshot. After his death, thousands of negatives were found in his darkroom, all of which were exposed but not developed. His work was first seen in the 1967 exhibition “New Documents” at MoMA, New York, alongside Lee Friedlander and Diane Arbus. Through this presentation, the public came to celebrate Winogrand as one of the most important of the radically subjective street photographers.
