Product description

Two or three decades of the digital revolution have passed. We have now entered into the post-industrial information age, which has penetrated all branches of science and the economy, has affected society and the individual. One aspect of this is mass migration, the global circulation of people and goods, of services, signs and information.

The situations arising from these developments has often been termed “Hybridisation”. Generally we associate the term with grafting cultivated plants – in this context it refers to a transition from natural to artificial, from real to virtual, from analogue to digital, from homogeneous to heterogeneous space. What does this imply for our existence, our perception, our image of ourselves, our ethics? Can a hybrid way of life be the path to the future, or is it an evil to be borne? The artists offer no conclusive answers to these questions, but they provide images which train our vision, which allow us a paradigmatic experience of these new situations.
