Product description

Photography after Photography demonstrates the use of images in information society and stages photographic image strategies of the computer age around the topics Body, Space, Identity, Authenticity and Memory. Along these lines they bring together images from completely different photographic angles, posing fundamental questions: Is a picture that has been produced by computer and electronical technology radically different from one that has been formed by a lens and projected on film? Is the digital use of images forcing us to reconsider such fundamental concepts like realism or representation?

In Photography after Photography, photography meets digital media: it combines artistic streams and reflections of digital image culture within photography and adjoining media art in pictures, CD-ROMS, interactive installations, up to a World Wide Web-Site in the Internet.
