Special event: «Pinhole Camera Day 2018»

As a part of the Worldwide Pinhole Camera Day, Fotomuseum Winterthur and Fotostiftung Schweiz offer a special program on Camera Obscura Photography for adults, adolescents and children on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 11:00 till 18:00: Build your own pinhole camera, take photos with cookie boxes, develop your photos in the in-house photo lab or discover fascinating pinhole camera photofraphs from our collection during short tours! The workshops are led in German, but English translation is available upon request.

Public Workshop Camera Obscura-Photography

Throughout the day the public workshop Camera Obscura takes place on different stations. You will have a short introduction into the history of photography and the photo lab, take a photo of yourself with a cookie box and then develop the photo yourself - under expert guidance - in the photo lab. You can join every hour.
Single price: CHF 10, Group price (3-5 Pers.): CHF 25

Public Workshop Build your own pinhole camera!

In this open workshop everyone can build his own pinhole camera and then test it in the workshop Camera Obscura. Bring your own shoe, cookie or tea boxes or use our material on site.

Short tours Pinhole camera photographs from our collection

In the collections of the two institutions there are Camera Obscura works as well. A short tour (20-30 min.) takes you behind the scenes and shows exciting pinhole camera photographs from the collections of the Fotostiftung Schweiz and the Fotomuseum.
