We are celebrating the grand reopening of Fotomuseum Winterthur – come and celebrate with us! Following the comprehensive redevelopment of the museum, we are opening the doors to our new premises and the inaugural exhibition The Lure of the Image.
Programme
from 11:00: exhibition and building are open
all day: short guided tours with curators and artists through the exhibition and the new building (registration required, detailed information will follow)
16:00: welcome and speeches by Madeleine Schuppli, co-president of the Board of Trustees of Fotomuseum Winterthur, Michael Künzle, mayor of Winterthur and Jacqueline Fehr, member of the Government Council of the Canton of Zurich
19:30: ‘HipElektropikalKumbiAfroHop’ tunes by DJ Chi Kuaraa
20:15: intro by Nadine Wietlisbach, director of Fotomuseum Winterthur
20:30: concert by Priya Ragu
The Swiss musician Priya Ragu tours the world with her so-called raguwavy sound. She fuses R'n'B, dance beats, tabla rhythms, traditional Tamil elements and soulful vocals to create a unique soundscape.
afterwards: party with ‘HipElektropikalKumbiAfroHop’ tunes by DJ Chi Kuaraa
Food and drinks will be provided throughout the day by the Crêperie Chez Tonton food truck with salty and sweet crêpes and the mobile bar Dings Drinks.
