Guided tour and talk: Nadine Wietlisbach in conversation with Andy Mösch

During a guided tour through the exhibition Because the Night, Andy Mösch gives insights into his work. Mösch, aka AM Khamsaa, is part of the live trio Laserwolf and co-responsible for booking at Kraftfeld nightclub in Winterthur. Together with Nadine Wietlisbach, director of Fotomuseum Winterthur and curator of the exhibition, he discusses club culture, city life and nightlife.

During the event the museum‘s own Bar Soda is open.

The thematic exhibition Because the Night is dedicated to the motif of night, with all the promise that it holds. Photographic work complexes are used to present nightlife as a realm of freedom, an escapist paradise, a source of entertainment — but also as a safe space within which subcultures and (secret) identities are negotiated outside of the mainstream. Here, the documentation of a sociocultural environment and its political positioning plays just as much of a role as radically personal intimate perspectives.
