Down to Earth: Climate Change and the Challenges Facing Society

Kara Springer’s photographs, sculptures and site-specific installations give visibility to urban infrastructures and the power relations encoded in them. In resonance with selected works from the collection, her practice gives palpable expression to the interplay between human interventions in the environment and their impact on society and ecosystems.

Physicist Dr Cornelia Schwierz and collection curator Alessandra Nappo invite visitors to explore key themes of the exhibition: climate change, global warming and human interventions in nature. Selected works serve as case studies to clarify these interrelations, which will be further examined in a more detailed discussion. An interdisciplinary perspective broadens the view of the works and brings it into sharper focus.

This event takes place in German.

Admission: CHF 12.– (for members and reduced CHF 10.–), plus exhibition admission.
