Poulomi Basu’s images and installations consistently call upon us to resist patriarchal structures, while her work with international NGOs is focused on initiating change. Her approach mixes the documentary with conceptualisations of feminist utopias and alternative, more just realities. In dialogue with cultural journalist Ann Mbuti and activist Noemi Grütter, we explore Basu’s expressive strategies, inviting us to reflect on how she uses them to mobilise her audiences.
