Against Invisibility: Diasporic Experiences in Switzerland

As part of Poulomi Basu’s exhibition Phantasmagoria, this event focuses on the experiences of refugee women in Switzerland. The emphasis is on forms of self-empowerment and active expressions of solidarity against discrimination, structural violence and social inequality. Women from Brava share their own experiences and draw attention to the lack of social participation and everyday forms of resistance. An evening devoted to perspectives that are often ignored – raising important questions about visibility and belonging as experienced by Switzerland’s diasporas.
