Should your digital presence be more seductive – or rather authentic? Should your profile picture convey a personal brand? And how do you navigate the complex relations between your identity and the image of you that will circulate on internet platforms?
Bring your profile picture to a jury of experts, who will review your LinkedIn, Tinder or WhatsApp images. Join a discussion on what the definition of a good profile pic is and get advice on how to improve yours. The panel of experts consists of voices dealing with digital images in different fields: Lesia Nünlist, social media strategist at Straumann Group, Marie-France Rafael, art historian and professor at ZHdK Master in Fine Arts, and Jenny Rova, artist and avid Tinder user.
The event will take place in German.
Admission: CHF 12.– (for members and reduced CHF 10.–), plus exhibition admission
This event takes place in the framework of the exhibition The Lure of the Image. The show explores contemporary digital forms of photography and their seductive powers: How do images bait or beguile us as they circulate online? How do they compel, capture or control us? Various artistic positions engage with visual phenomena that serve as vehicles for online communication, criticism and humour, highlighting the crucial role images play in shaping our social, cultural and political landscapes.
