Redevelopment Project

Temporary Closure Due to Renovation

Fotomuseum Winterthur is realising its vision of a museum of the future: due to urgently needed renovation work, the institution is planning a new building and redevelopment project. The renovation phase will last from June 2023 to spring 2025, during which time the exhibition spaces at Grüzenstrasse 44 will remain closed. However, our exploration of photography will continue: Fotomuseum Winterthur will offer a variety of events, workshops and digital encounters.

Annelies Štrba – "My Otherness Colourfully Unfolds"

25.02.—13.08.2023

Annelies Štrba (b. 1947) is an observer and magician: She captures fleeting moments and creates dream images. Life and art intertwine in the artist’s work. The exhibition at Fotostiftung Schweiz presents for the first time large-format photo canvases from the collection and a projection specially conceived for Fotostiftung Schweiz.

Fotobibliothek in der Passage

‘A Museum without Walls’ – Allan Porter and the Photography Magazine CAMERA, 1966–1981

25.02.–13.08.2023

To honour the important contribution to the emancipation of photography made by Allan Porter, editor-in-chief of CAMERA from 1966 to 1981, Fotobibliothek in der Passage presents some of the issues of the magazine conceived by him.
