Portraits von Fotograf_innen erwartet man zumeist als Bilder, die von ihnen selbst oder von anderen aufgenommen wurden. Bernd Stiegler nimmt sie in Gestalt von Essays in den Blick und lässt dabei schlaglichtartig ein Jahrhundert Fotografiegeschichte Revue passieren. Vom Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts bis zur Gegenwart werden in elf fotografischen Portraits höchst unterschiedliche Erkundungen des Fotografischen vorgestellt. Was kann und was soll die Fotografie leisten? Was ist die Aufgabe der Fotografie? Das sind die leitenden Fragen dieser Essays. Der Bogen reicht unter anderem von der Kunstfotografie Alvin Langdon Coburns und der neusachlichen Fotografie eines Albert Renger-Patzsch über Alexander Rodtschenko und Boris Mikhailov bis hin zur generativen und konkreten Fotografie Gottfried Jägers und zu zeitgenössischen Fotograf_innen wie Simone Kappeler, Michael Reisch oder Philipp Goldbach.

Return policy

The product return period is 30 days from the date the product was received. Excluded from this are memberships, vouchers and e-tickets, which cannot be returned.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns in the following cases:
– For damaged items, unless they have already been received damaged.
– If accessories are missing.
– If the return period has passed.

Provided the product can be returned, the full price will be refunded.

Postage costs for returning items are generally paid by the sender. After individual examination, the return costs may be borne by the Fotomuseum Winterthur.
