Workshop: FANZINE with Ari Marcopoulos.

For classes, groups of students or individuals (aged 12+)

Fanzines remain to this day a favorite format for Ari Marcopoulos (b. 1957 in Amsterdam). They can be produced quickly and cheaply, and they enable their makers to communicate highly personal perspectives. Marcopoulos – a former assistant to Andy Warhol and with the Beastie Boys on tour, who is now a sought-after photographer and filmmaker – will lead four zine workshops in connection with The Hobbyist, in which participants will be able to express their ideas quickly and directly. The resulting DIY-style zine will be presented at the Fotomuseum as part of The Hobbyist on Jan. 28, 2018.
