Happy hour and talk: zweikommasieben magazine hosted by Fotomuseum Winterthur

As part of the exhibition Because the Night, Fotomuseum Winterthur and the magazine zweikommensieben are hosting a night with talks, music and drinks. zweikommasieben is a magazine dedicated to contemporary music and club culture. Interviews with artists, essays and columns are documenting the local and international nightlife, photographs, illustrations and artworks are illuminating music and sound from different perspectives. Additionally, zweikommasieben is curating and organising various events in Switzerland and abroad.

During the event the museum‘s own Bar Soda is open.

The thematic exhibition Because the Night is dedicated to the motif of night, with all the promise that it holds. Photographic work complexes are used to present nightlife as a realm of freedom, an escapist paradise, a source of entertainment — but also as a safe space within which subcultures and (secret) identities are negotiated outside of the mainstream. Here, the documentation of a sociocultural environment and its political positioning plays just as much of a role as radically personal intimate perspectives.
